The Lockport Police Department has completed its investigation into the incident that occurred at the Lockport Cave and Underground Boat Ride on June 12, 2023, which resulted in the death of an individual.

After a full review of the information gathered, and in consultation with the Niagara County District Attorney’s Office, we have determined that there is not sufficient evidence to support criminal charges in this matter.  Our investigation is now closed.

Should additional information become available in the future we will review it and determine whether it warrants reopening the investigation.
