Office of the City Clerk
The City Clerk’s Office is one of the main points of contact for many city residents and businesses.
The office handles many of the information requests received from the public, in addition to processing license and permit applications.
The city clerk also keeps records for the city and Common Council, including meeting minutes and updates to the city’s code of laws, when necessary.

The City of Lockport requires that all peddlers operating within city limits apply for and carry a permit. No person shall engage in a business, occupation or activity in the public streets and places and from door to door within the city without first applying for and securing a license.
The City of Lockport will observe trick or treat hours on Sunday, October 31st. Ghosts and goblins going door-to-door for goodies can do so on Halloween between 4 and 7pm. Have fun and stay safe!
