On January 9, 2023, Alderwoman-at-Large Pasceri placed a letter of resignation in the mayor’s mailbox at City Hall effective January 9, 2023. I appreciate her willingness to run for office and work on behalf of the residents over the last year.
Although I am disappointed that Alderwoman-at-Large Pasceri has chosen to quit her position without discussion or notice, I am committed to facilitating the continued functioning of our City government. I hope to have a qualified replacement within the next few weeks. I have been mayor of the City of Lockport for the last four years and have been able to work with many different elected officials on the common council to move our City in a positive direction while representing our entire community. l look forward to doing so for as long as the public chooses.
As this is without notice, I am working on a transparent and fair process to make the appointment for her replacement that respects the people who elected her. Alderwoman-at-Large Pasceri was registered as a No Other Party Affiliation (NOP) at the time of her election.
