Code Blue will be in effect from tonight, Monday March 31st and Tuesday April 1st. Overnight temperatures are forecast below freezing throughout the period. Mayor Lombardi has called for Code Blue to continue through 8am on Tuesday morning, April 1st.
Any homeless person or individual without heat can go to the Salvation Army directly between the hours of 8pm – 10pm, if after 10 pm, please report to the walk-up window at the Niagara Street entrance of Lockport Police Department where they will assist individuals seeking shelter.
In addition to the Code Blue Notice Mayor Lombardi would also like to announce that City Hall, 1 Locks Plaza will be available as a warming station from 4:00pm – 8:00pm until further notice.
