Lockport Water Shutoff Planned for May 5-6 to Replace Broken Valve and Improve Flow

The Lockport Water Department is planning to replace a water valve that is currently broken in the closed position resulting in low flow for a large area of the city. We are planning on coming in at 10PM on Monday May 5 to do the replacement work. We will be notifying the houses/businesses in the area that will be affected on Friday 5/2. The water shut down times will be as follows. 12AM (MIDNIGHT) until 4AM on 5/6. This water shut down will affect the following streets,

-Gooding St (Clinton St to Harwood St)

-Clinton St (Gooding St to Water St)

-Jackson St (Entire St)

-Scovell St (Entire St)

-Water St (Entire St)

-Williams St (Entire St)

-Glenwood Ave (Gooding St to Transit St)

-Lock St (Grand St to Washington & Caledonia St to Grand St)

-Grand St (Allen St to Clinton)

-Harwood St (Entire St)

-Monroe St (Lock St to Gooding St & Scovell St to Water St)

-Washington St (Lock St to Gooding St)

Traffic in the work area will NOT be closed, LWD and LHD members will maintain traffic flow during the excavation work. If the water shutdown takes longer than anticipated we will let you know as best we can.
