Highway Rehabilitation & Road Diet Project
NY Route 78 (Transit Road) & NY Route 31
Town and City of Lockport, Niagara County
The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) will host a public information meeting to review the proposed project, for safety and operational improvements along NY Routes 78 & 31. The improvements will include a road diet on NY Routes 78 & 31, construct new left turn lanes on High Street at the intersection with Transit Road, coordinated traffic signals, resurface the pavement, and upgrade non-compliant curb ramps and sidewalk to current ADA standards as well as pedestrian signals. The meeting will be held in an open-forum format on the following date and time:
Tuesday, June 24, 2025, 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Lockport Municipal Building
One Locks Plaza, Lockport, NY 14094
There will be a short presentation at 5:00 pm
There will be displays and informational stations staffed with NYSDOT representatives familiar with the various aspects of the proposed project. NYSDOT representatives will be available to answer questions and discuss the proposed project.
