PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a special public hearing will be held before the City of Lockport’s Comprehensive Plan Update Steering Committee on Monday, August 28th, 2023 at 6:00 PM in Council Chambers at the Lockport Municipal Building (One Locks Plaza, Lockport, NY 14094) on the following matter:
CITY OF LOCKPORT DRAFT 2023 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
Recommendation of the City of Lockport Draft 2023 Comprehensive Plan, an update to the current 1998 Comprehensive Plan, by the Comprehensive Plan Update Committee to the City of Lockport Common Council. While the Draft Zoning Code developed alongside this comprehensive plan update is not formally a subject of the hearing, the City recognizes that they are to be considered jointly for adoption purposes. Therefore, all public comments to this effect will be heard and recorded in accordance with NYS Law.
The Comprehensive Plan Update Steering Committee will, at the aforesaid time and place, hear all persons in support of this change or objections thereto. Persons may appear in person or by agent or attorney. Copies of the Draft 2023 Comprehensive Plan are available for review on the project website (www.lockportny.gov/plan-code-updates) and upon request during normal business hours at the City Clerk’s office located at One Locks Plaza, Lockport, NY 14094.
NOTE: Attendees are also encouraged to attend the Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Code Update Public Open House before and after the public hearing on August 28th to review draft material and discuss key elements with the project committees, City staff, and consultant team. The Public Open House will be open from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at the Lockport Municipal Building.
