As was announced at our press conference today (Oct. 21, 2020), the Lockport Police Department charged two juvenile males, ages 16 and 17, with the Friday night death of Cheyenne Farewell. On behalf of the city, we are extremely grateful for the dedication and tireless hard work of Chief Abbott and the LPD, and our partners in law enforcement both in the county and region-wide. Both juveniles have been charged with criminal possession of a weapon 2nd and felony intentional murder.
This is an active and ongoing investigation and it is expected that more charges will be forthcoming. It is imperative that our community comes together and supports the police in providing any information that will assist in the prosecution of this senseless act that took the life of a young woman and injured five others.
