Code Enforcement
Code enforcement in Lockport is intended to ensure all buildings are maintained to meet international building code standards. Code enforcement also deals with public nuisances and debris issues. Learn more about the office here.
The Building Inspection Department oversees the approval of construction and demolition projects within the City of Lockport. The department also works with the Common Council and state and national agencies to maintain compliance with building code standards and requirements, ensuring the safe design and construction of new structures or renovation of existing properties.
The department is also responsible for the planning and zoning activities within the City of Lockport. For questions related to zoning or the variance application process, please contact the Building Inspection Department.
