Lockport COVID-19 Update

The Western New York Region has now moved into Phase 4 of reopening under Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s plan. Starting June 30, 2020, Phase 4 businesses and organizations in the City of Lockport are allowed to open, including low-risk indoor and outdoor arts and entertainment venues, media production businesses, and higher education. These organizations are subject state reopening guidelines. Learn more about Phase 4 businesses and guidelines here.

Find the latest state updates at coronavirus.health.ny.gov. We will continue to post news and information on the city website as it becomes available.

City hall continues to be closed to the public. People may call the department related to their inquiry to discuss their needs. The most productive and efficient option to address issues will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Cases that require an in-person meeting will be scheduled by appointment only, and guests will need to have a health screening and enter the municipal building via the police department entrance. All calls will be answered staff from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The depository remains available from outside the building (by the Main Street parking lot access) to drop off correspondence, payments, applications or other business with the city clerk’s office.
